Cycle Expedition
July and guess what – it’s raining! But getting wet and muddy is fun. Well done to everyone who completed the cycle challenge and earned their cyclist badge.
Leyland URC Scout Group was founded in March 1932 by Mr H Barker. The group has had many leaders, beavers, cubs and scouts pass through. In 2007 Leyland URC Scout Group celebrated its 75th birthday with events to mark this very special occasion. We currently have Beavers, Cubs and Scouts Running weekly, which all have spaces for boys and girls aged from 6yrs up to 14yrs. There are also opertunities for older scouts and adults to become involved and enjoy the comradeship and adventure of being part of this great movement. If you would like to know more please get in contact with us via the contact form at the bottom of this page or via telephone (01772 691689 Ian)

Always ready for a challenge. Leyland URC go caving (again!). I think it’s because our beavers sing their colony song to the tune of the wombles...
We didn’t win the race, but we had a great time. Every picture shows the Scouts smiling and laughing - even when they were wet through. They camped all weekend in the rain and still had to jump in the pond.
Gok Wan eat your heart out! Leyland URC Scouts really know how to dress in style. Give them £15 and send them to the charity shops and they come back with stuff they have bought, begged and borrowed.
The Cubs spent a weekend having a great time on camp. All the cubs brought costumes to wear on halloween.
Always wanting to achieve more, the cubs went caving. Crawling and climbing in dark, wet and muddy conditions really is fun!
